Unlike many of the better-known towns on the costa del sol, Fuengirola is alive all year round. It has kept its Spanish essence with beautiful squares and new discoveries to be found round every corner. With over 8kms of uninterrupted beaches that stretch from Fuengirola's castle, Castillo Sohail, to Carvajal, passing though the neighboring and beautiful towns of Torreblanca and Los Boliches. This nice flat stroll welcomes you to an amazing choice of beach restaurants (chiringuitos), offering freshly prepared sea foods and the perfect setting for lunch in the sun, or a moonlight meal with a glass of wine. You will also find bars and restaurants offering the delights of world cuisine.

Fuengirola's famous calle del hambre, also known by tourists as fish alley, comes highly recommended. It is a great place for a spot of lunch or a la carte dinning by night, with great bars showing international sports and amazing musical talents, giving you that true holiday atmosphere and fun.

Taking a step away from the foreign tourist areas we have some of the finest traditional Spanish establishments, offering anything from the tastiest tapas to the finest paellas and quality meats, drawing Spanish tourists to the area, bringing with them their own authentic Spanish atmosphere.

In the center of town, you will also find a high street with a large choice of supermarkets and well-known retails stores, for all your necessities or just a bit of retail therapy. On the outskirts of town your will also find the Miramar shopping center. Offering all the best-known brands, a choice of restaurants, its cinema showing films in both Spanish and VO (original version), and family fun for the children.

With very easy access to Malaga city center and the airport by train, car or bus, Fuengirola is very well located to take advantage of all that the costa del sol has to offer.

The once small town of Los Boliches, has blossomed into a beautiful and diverse destination that caters perfectly to a mixture of nationalities that call it home all year round. Just a short walk into Fuengirola, and on the Malaga train line it has great access to the rest of the Costa del Sol, but with little need to go anywhere. You will find traditional spanish resturants and a great choice of international foods and bars, wheer you can make yourself comfortable and watch the world go by.

Mijas costa covers a large area of the Costa de Sol and has every type of residence to suit all needs. From the peace and quiet of El Faro, to the hustle and bustle of La Cala and Riviera Del Sol, and the Luxurious areas of Sierrezuela and surrounding. The actual Mijas town is one of Andalucias well known white villages. The area is full of personality where you can enjoy lovely walks with hidden treasures to be discovered.

La Cala de Mijas has transformed from a once sleepy little fishing town to a very popular destination for tourists, and has a large expat community, keeping this now much larger town alive even in the winter months. With some of the most stunning beaches and highly rated restaurants on the CDS, La Cala is a highly recommended place to visit for lunch or dinner or a great golf experience. The high street has everything you need from wine bars and sports bars, to fine dining. As it is in such high demand it has a number of new developments under construction or recently completed to keep up with its growth. It is very well connected, with easy access to the motorway and regular bus services that run from Fuengirola to Marbella.

Riviera del Sol has a large tourist draw which does make it a much more seasonal destination to visit. That being said you will find a large mixture of types of properties, ranging from some of the cheapest small apartments, perfect for holiday stays, to the finest of private villas, of which many are occupied all year round. As a tourist you will find everything you need for day to day living and a good night life.

Calahonda is situated on the shores of the Mediterranean on the Costa Del Sol in Spain between Marbella and Fuengirola which are only 10 minutes drive away. Just 25 minutes to the east is Malaga airport so access is quick and easy. There are various options for getting to Calahonda, car hire being the most popular as you can then explore the region at your leisure.

This development is mostly popular with foreigners from northern Europe and especially with people from the United Kingdom. If you want a taste of Spain, then Calahonda is not for you. This development is self-sufficient and designed for tourists in mind. It is not a former fishing village like many of the popular Costa del Sol resorts which have expanded due to the tourism – instead it is a purpose-built development.

The accommodation is mainly built of luxury villas and apartment blocks and holiday complexes which stretch from the coast to the hillsides. On these urbanisations are great sports and leisure facilities such as tennis courts, a riding club and a golf course with four more courses close by and many more a short drive away. The nearest golf courses are at Calanova golf club and Club de Golf La Siesta.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes as well as shopping centres, banks, chemists and international medical centres. Families love the area because they can simply relax with all the facilities they need in close proximity. Young children will also enjoy the tourist train which takes you around the resort complexes.

Head for the nearby marina which has a great choice of bars and restaurants and the best beaches in the area where you can enjoy watersports such as windsurfing and jet skiing.
